Late Starts
When you book your date with the Justice of the Peace you have
to understand there may be many other factors involved for the Justice of the
Peace to line up your wedding.
Many times when a JP has several wedding over a weekend the
rehearsals will conflict with one an other, as most rehearsals will be on the
Wednesday or Thursday before your wedding .
Most rehearsals run a little late the JP knows that, and they
take longer than the actual wedding does because it has to be set up and
explained and questions answered.
Your Wedding itself should go off on time in most cases a good
JP may have 3 other wedding the same day as yours so it is important to be on
time.
When you book me as your Justice of the Peace, I will not ask
for additional payment for you being late on the day of your wedding however it
is reasonable to expect payment for my time If I am waiting 1 hour for the
service to start that is un reasonable, 15 min. is reasonable the same goes for
your rehearsal if you are waiting for some one and we don't get started until
and hour after that is unreasonable.
My rate for late starts is $50.00 and that is for anything 1/2
hour after the scheduled start time. I think this is reasonable.
